Your children will love these vintage inspired, Danish balance bikes. No need to push pedals, all Trybike's look fantastic, are superior quality - and will have your child on wheels from 12 months through to 6 years old.
Most children love the idea of cycling, but struggle to push pedals at first. Balance bikes don't have pedals, so allow children to learn the most important skill in cycling: balance! Children use their feet to push, and to brake, and will enjoy working up their speed in a safe way. Trybike balance bikes are retro styled bikes that kids - and parents - will love! What's more, the Trybike Steel 2 in 1 Balance Bike Black can be used for children as young as 12 months.
Trybike products are designed and tested in the Netherlands and produced in China in an eco-friendly manufacturing environment. The manufacturing process relies on sustainable resources, minimising the use of plastic and cotton and relying on certified wood, recycled board and other high quality materials with one eye constantly on improvements.
Trybike products are designed so that they can always be fixed, and all components are available and can be ordered separately. The company's founders will do everything to make children enjoy the Trybike as long as possible. Trybike has a warranty period of 2 years from date of purchase against any manufacturing defect. They will repair or replace any manufacturing defects within this period free of charge.
Quality long-lasting features
Every Trybike has lots of features that mark it out as a superior balance bike. Its steering mechanism is extra strong, with a limiter to help children stay in a tighter line. The wheels have high quality bearings and tough axles to help them run smoothly, even when kids ride roughshod over mud and gravel. The tyres are extra wide, providing extra grip. Importantly, the seat is not only adjustable, but tilts slightly backward, helping align the child with the handlebars for the perfect riding position.
These fab balance bikes are available in wood and in steel, as simple balance bikes or clever variations that prolong the lifetime usage of the bike. We take a look at the range.
If your Mini Hoy shows signs of wanting to cycle early, then the Trybike 2 in 1 range is perfect. These clever inventions start life as a tricycle, perfect for 1 year olds, then convert into a balance bike when your toddler is ready to master zooming along - using feet as brakes, of course! The 2 in 1 comes in a range of fantastic vintage colours, from the classic Trybike Steel 2 in 1 Balance Bike Black and Trybike Steel 2 in 1 Balance Bike Silver to the brighter Trybike 2 in 1 Steel Vintage Balance Bike in Vintage Red or Vintage Green. These weigh 6.3kg as a tricycle and 5.2kg as a balance bike.
Once your child hits two, they're ready to lose the third wheel and go straight into a balance bike. The Trybike Steel Vintage Balance Bike in Vintage Red and Trybike Steel Balance Bike in Black are suitable from 2-6 years, look amazing in cherry red or classic black, and are finished with tan coloured seat and handlebars to complete that perfect retro look.
The Trybike Natural Wood 4 in 1 Balance Bike solves the problem of what to buy once kids outgrow the look and feel of a balance bike for younger kids, but still prefer a balance bike to pedals. This clever invention takes the Trybike 2 in 1 a step further, by allowing the balance bike to transition into a 'high bike' at aged 3.5/4 years and ride this until they're 6.
How to convert a Trybike
To make it look and feel suitable for older children, all you have to do is flip the frame. This is a lot easier than it sounds. Trybike has PDF manuals to explain how you convert the low bicycle into a high bicycle, but basically you need to dismantle the handlebar and front wheel, slide out the frame, flip it over and then slide it back into the forks. Detach the seat from the frame and fit it onto the other side of the frame, then refasten and adjust.
The Trybike Natural Wood 4 in 1 Balance Bike is also ideal for children with disabilities or who find it different to maintain balance. The 'low tricycle' mode featured above can be extended, raising the seat to make it the right height for kids around 3.5 - 6 years, but keeping the rear wheels for maximum support.
