Out n About Little Nipper Review
Out n About Little Nipper Review
It’s the *brand new* addition to the Out n About Nipper family and much like the Out n About Nipper Single V4 (from £219)and Out n About Nipper Double V4 (from £354) it’s been made to suit parent’s everyday needs.
The Out n About Little Nipper (from £199) is a lightweight and compact alternative to the Nipper Single V4 – it has all the same features but in a smaller package.
On a lightweight buggy you don’t always get a full recline however on the Little Nipper it goes from upright to lie-flat – meaning you can even use it with your newborn. When fully reclined the seat back has a piece of removable material that can be zipped or unzipped depending on the weather. Unzip it and you’ll find a mesh like panel that allows air to flow through the buggy which is perfect for a hot summers day.
Holding up to 22 kg (~ 4 years) this lightweight buggy will see you through from newborn to full sized toddler, it’s great for parents that want a buggy to last. The 5-point safety harness comes as standard, keeping your child secure.
The Out n About Little Nipper includes an easy clean and removable seat liner (in black). This is a great feature that not many other brands follow but it makes the seat just that little bit softer and snug. Or for an older toddler you can simply remove it so they have more space to wriggle.
With independent rear suspension this little stroller makes hard terrain easy. Out n About have swapped air filled tyres for solid with the Little Nipper and we love it. Around shopping malls, pavements and town it’s going to be perfect. The front wheel is lockable but can be quickly changed to a 360 degree swivel. We like both ways but probably use the swivel mode more often.
All three wheels are quick and easy to release so storage isn’t a problem if you don’t have much of it. The Little Nipper fits snugly inside the Nipper Single Carry Bag (fropm £49.95) and comes in extremely handy when travelling. The buggy itself is lightweight at only 8kg and is effortless to push. The frame is made from aluminium which only adds to the ease of use.
The handle bar is height adjustable between 80 – 106cm so will accommodate any sized parent. The brake is a simple one touch easy lock brake, simply tap it on or click it up for off. We love how easy to use all of the Little Nipper’s features are and especially its handling. A tether strap will stop the buggy from getting to far away from you, conscientious grannies love this feature.
The mechanism to fold the Nipper is a simple handle located in the base of the child’s seat. It says ‘pull to fold’ and that’s exactly what you do. Undo the elephant shaped ears on either side of the buggy and a simple tug on this will sandwich the buggy in half. An auto-lock stops it from coming apart and the one handed action even lets you hold your child at the same time. What more could you ask for in a fold? Awesome feature.
The larger style sun canopy fully shades your child in the seat of the buggy. It’s retractable and also has a peek-a-boo style window on the top if you’re wanting to take a peak inside. There is a pop-out sun visor that can also be hidden away when not in use. We love this extra bit of sun protection during the warmer months.
The Little Nipper comes with a Raincover (which isn’t usually included with all brands, a great added bonus), a well padded Bumper Bar that can be taken off one side to allow easier access for your child, a black seat liner and an under seat storage basket. Once you’ve ordered your Out n About, make sure you register for your 2 year warranty. This warranty is longer than most companies offer so don’t forget!.
The great thing about the Little Nipper is that it can turn into a travel system with several brands of car seat. With either Maxi-Cosi Adaptors (from £19) to fit the Pebble (from £139) or CabrioFix (from £99.99). The Little Nipper also takes the Single Carrycot (from £99) from Out n About or the Newborn Support (from £19.99) to make the seat more comfortable and supportive of your baby’s neck and back.
Looking to jazz up the overall look of the Little Nipper? The Out n About Footmuff (from £39.95) can add a bit of extra colour and warmth to your child and stroller. A Changing Bag (from £39.99) is also available (that also includes a changing mat) which is designed to specifically fasten to a Nipper handlebar.
