BOB Revolution Pro Review
BOB Revolution Pro Review
The BOB Revolution Pro has succeeded the Revolution SE, and we think it’s a great jogging stroller with only one front lockable swivel wheel; making it stand out from the crowd.
The BOB Revolution Pro with its black chassis is a definite head-turner. It looks sleek and stylish but like it still means business. The BOB Revolution Pro comes in 3 colours Wilderness, Red or Black. We love the fact that it doesn’t just come in black like most jogging strollers.
The seat is still the same size as the older BOB Revolution SE, at a very roomy 37cm. That’s 2cm more than most of its rivals. The seat on the BOB Revolution Pro is positioned over the back wheels of the stroller i.e. across the widest part of the buggy meaning it’s extremely roomy. The seat is also fully reclines, from upright to lie-flat mode. It is suitable from 6 months to 3 years (17kg); however when purchased with a BOB Carrycot is able to take a child from newborn. The Revolution Pro also fits a Britax car seat such as the Britax BabySafe Plus SHR II with the use of a BOB Instant Carrier Adaptor.
It has an easy 2 step folding mechanism. Press the clips at each side of the handlebar and the seat collapses in half. Pull the red cable and voila the buggy folds neatly away. Weighing just 12.8kg it’s lightweight for a jogging stroller due to the wheel size.
New to the market, this is the only buggy approved for running with a swivel wheel. Until now you’ve always been forced to run with fixed wheels. This is changed by a small red button/ clip located on the front wheel that changes the stroller from city to sport mode. This clip enables you to lock the front wheel in one simple movement.
It has an adjustable suspension system which means that your baby will be comfy whatever the terrain. It has a lightweight yet strong aluminium chassis and pneumatic air filled tyres of 12 inches (front) and 16 inches (back). These rear wheels are chunky and sturdy enough to ride over almost any kind of surfaces. It will go wherever you want it to go, at whatever pace you want to go.
The handlebar is nice and soft, so you won’t feel any strain when out jogging. It can also be adjusted to 7 different heights, so is great for every user.
The BOB Revolution Pro has a standard on / off foot brake located on the rear wheels axel. In addition to this it has a hand held brake positioned on the left hand side of the handle. This is perfect for when out jogging as allows your hands rather than your feet to slow the buggy, so there’s no worry of falling over when trying to slow down.
Due to the fact it is a jogging stroller, it also has a tether strap to stop the buggy rolling away. This could even be used for a young child to hold onto when out for a walk.
The BOB Revolution Pro has great storage. A large pocket at the back of the seat, a low cargo basket underneath the seat and 2 pockets inside the seat; perfect for your child’s stash of toys and snacks.
We especially loved the pockets located on the inside on the buggy for our child to use. They were great for when out running as made sure their juice and snacks didn’t fall out.
It has a larger style sun canopy and covers the seat unit fully to protect the child from the sun, wind or rain. There is a decent size (55cm2) peek-a-boo style window for keeping an eye on your baby.
For wet weather, a Weather Shield comes in extremely handy. Made out of a special water and rain-resistant nylon, it’s perfect for keeping your little one dry. There is also Warm and Fuzzy Cosytoes which is fleecy with padded quilting to keep any chilly toes cosy. we love this accessory and so did our little one. In the summer months, a Sun Shield will protect your child from the burning sun, wind and flying insects when you are out on a run.
A Snack Tray will not only keep your child secure but allow them to have snacks at the ready. We loved the fact that this also gives your child something to hold onto whilst on the go.
